Questions
Is Depuria on the Mac App Store?
No. Depuria needs Full Disk Access and the ability to move other apps to the Trash — things the App Store sandbox forbids. You download it directly; it's signed and notarized by Apple, so it installs with no warnings.
Do you see my files?
No. Scans run entirely on your Mac and nothing is uploaded. If you use the AI Advisor with your own LLM key, only a compact, redactable summary (metrics, scan totals) is sent to the provider you choose. On macOS 26 with Apple Silicon you can run the AI fully on-device, so nothing leaves your Mac at all.
Does the AI Custodian delete things on its own?
Only if you let it. You choose the level: Off (just watch), Notify (predict and suggest, but never act), or Auto-safe (additionally run the always-safe cleanup — caches, logs, temp — on its own). Anything that touches your own files always asks for confirmation first, and removed items go to the Trash.
What's the difference between Pro and Pro+?
Pro unlocks all tools and the AI Advisor using your own LLM key (Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, local…). Pro+ Cloud AI adds hosted AI so you don't need any key — it's the only subscription, because it's the only tier with a real per-use cost.
One-time or subscription?
Pro is a one-time purchase (per major version). Only Pro+ Cloud AI is a yearly subscription, and only because hosted AI has ongoing cost.
